Summary of Job Responsibilities: Development and enhancement of an application framework for new application and re-architecting existing applications in a MS .NET and SQL Server environment; assist with the deployment of application framework components throughout current and future CIR applications; assist with application development projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the architecture and development of an application framework.
• Participate in code and design reviews ensuring functional, performance and scalability requirements are met.
• Design and architect small to medium sized applications and new features for larger applications based upon functional and technical specifications.
• Conduct unit testing of development work to ensure code meets functional requirements.
• Resolve application defects reported by support and quality assurance.
• Mentor other developers in the organization with architecture, design and coding skills.
• Consult with business analysts, domain experts, and other employees to clarify specification and design issues.
• Write documentation to describe application functional or technical specifications.
• Follow established development methodologies, architectures and coding standards outlined by the company.
• Review the work of peers to ensure consistency and quality.
• Provide status updates of development activities.
• Participate effectively within the Scrum methodology.
Professional Experience
• Strong experience with OOAD, layered architectures, design patterns, and UML.
• Strong experience in an OO programming language, preferably C#.NET and ASP.NET.
• Strong experience with relational databases and programming, preferably SQL Server.
• Experience with XML, HTML and Javascript preferred.
• Experience with Test Driven Development preferred.
• Experience with code generation tools, NHibernate and Microsoft Office programming a plus.
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
• Demonstrated motivation and aptitude for learning new technologies. Must be able to learn new development tools and methodologies on the fly.
