The Stead Technology Services Group (STSG) at the Tippie College of Business/University of Iowa seeks a highly motivated individual with solid education and experience in object oriented programming, who enjoys working in a team environment.
The chosen candidate will:
- Work directly with the School of Management to develop their administrative registration database system
- Document objects, systems procedures and guidelines for users
- Develop and maintain data interfaces for College databases and Web applications
- Consult with users regarding application requirements, identify needs, and verify scope of projects
- Review, analyze, and make recommendations regarding system architecture
The position requires:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS and 3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have proven knowledge of object oriented programming as well as ability in: Java, C#, ASP.NET, Javascript, AJAX, XML, Microsoft .NET. Also a strong understanding of relational databases, database design theory, and SQL query languages is required. Experience in project management, system analysis, software development and web design are desirable. Attention to detail, good organization, written and oral communication skills are also required.
